Applications Overview
We offer a range of Belden cables including the 8162 and 9844 multi-conductor low-capacitance cable and the 8778 multi-pair cable. Belden data distribution cables deliver end-to-end signal transmissions for applications in data, sound, video, and security. These screened and non-screened cables are designed for audio, instrumentation and computer network communications, including cables for connection to multiple channels delivering signal transmission.The Belden wiring range all use Stranded Tinned Copper Conductors. They are all approved by the Electronics Industries Alliance to standard EIA 485. (Formerly RS 485).

Belden 8162 Multi-Conductor Low Capacitance Computer Cable
Used widely in audio,
process control, instrumentation and computer applications where there
is a need for screening from external sources and low levels of
cross-talk between pairs. 3 Screens (Beldfoil® Aluminium Foil Polyester
Tape / Tinned Copper Wire Braid (TCWB) / Beldfoil® Aluminium Foil
Polyester Tape) with a Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) sheath.
Belden 8778 Multi-Pair Cable
Used to connect
multiple audio channels in low-level (microphone) and high-level (line)
componentry such as console board equipment for recording studios, radio
television stations, post-production facilities, and sound system
installations. Single screen of Beldfoil® Aluminium Foil Polyester Tape)
with a PVC sheath.
Belden 9844 Multi-Conductor Low Capacitance Computer Cable
Used widely for
audio, instrumentation, computer networks and in electronics. Also used
for Controller Area Networks (CANopen solutions) which enable the
communication between devices of different manufacturers and guarantees
an interchangeability of devices. Double screen (Beldfoil® Aluminium
Foil Polyester Tape / Tinned Copper Wire Braid (TCWB)) and a PVC sheath.
